Discover the History of the Castle Hotel
Public guided tours are conducted every Sunday and Monday at 1 PM, 2:30 PM, and 4 PM. The minimum number of participants for a tour is 6.
During the guided tour, you will visit the representative County Hall that boasts of its original fresco ceiling decoration from 1762, a feature unmatched within Slovakia. There are also Rococo tiled stoves adorned with gold ornaments. You will delve into the castle's rich history, linked with the original owners' fate, primarily the Count family of Forgach, whom you will see in period photographs and portraits. You will take a peek into one of the hotel suites with an original wooden beam ceiling and historical furniture. The tour route takes you through a corridor on the 1st floor that houses a unique collection of wall paintings of Hungarian monarchs from the 16th - 17th centuries.
Ticket price
- 10 EUR Adult Ticket
- 7 EUR for children aged 3 to 15 years, seniors (62 y.o. and above) and holders of ZŤP ID
In addition to guided tour of the castle, the ticket also includes a free drink - homemade lemonade, which will be served in a designated area after the end of the tour.
Besides the days mentioned above, we offer a guided tour only with the reservation for a special menu. We will be happy to provide you with more information at the hotel reception.
